Where food is made.

Felicity's thoughts returned to her first child and her face saddened for a moment before she took a deep breath to calm herself. She knew it was years ago and though the faint pain of the loss would always be there, she had to move on. "Someday but...I don't know if I can." she said.

"Why not?" Karasu Nacht asked this curiously as his right eyebrow lifted up silently. He didn't understand, Karasu Nacht figured however that it would be a good idea not to ask anything about it for he was only curious to what she had said about not being able to have kids. Karasu Nacht looked down silently.

Felicity took a deep breath and then let it out slowly. "Because" she said and then was silent for a moment, forming the words in her head and trying to force them down so she could say them, finding it best that Karasu should know. "Because the first one I had was a still born and I do not know if it was because of me or something else." she said softly.

Karasu Nacht's eyes opened just a bit as he gasped and he closed his eyes making a sharp intake of air. It had been a while since he had opened his eyes, or actually since his birth and it hurt his eyes greatly since he was still worried about his gift emerging from his eyes. Sighing lightly, Karasu Nacht smiled lightly but it was a sad smile. "Oh, I'm sorry..."

Felicity looked up at him, slightly surprised "You do not think ill of me for it?" she asked as she looked at him. Though a part of her thought it childish to think he would think bad of her for something she couldn't really control, she still asked to hear his answer on the matter.

Karasu Nacht looked to Felicity and he smiled. "Think bad of you, no nothing could ever make me think bad of you. I just was thinking about the pain you must of felt. Well, in that case I guess we could do something else like adopt?" Karasu Nacht figured that was the only option due to the fact that Felicity took the death of her first child personally and it was rude of him of asking her something personal.

"We could." Felicity said with a soft smile. She wouldn't mind adopting a child but a part of her wished to someday have one of her own from her and Karasu but despite how long it had been, she wasn't ready to try again and she was glad that Karasu wouldn't pressure her to trying too soon. She looked at Selvina when most of the chicken was cut up and started to cook it with the rice.

Karasu Nacht placed the pot down on the counter near Felicity and he smirked some what overjoyed. Having a kid may curse it to being blind, Karasu Nacht knew how hard life was when being blind and thus was glad about adopting. Karasu Nacht rubbed his eyes for since his last opening of his eyelids he had irrtated them.

Felicity smiled at Karasu and put the cooked chicken and rice into the pot that Karasu had placed by her and then moved the pat onto the stove and blinked a bit, thinking she was forgetting something. "Oh the miso!" she exclaimed and got it, adding it in as well to let it cook for about five minutes or so. Hopefully, as long as she kept track of time.

Karasu Nacht listened and he smiled glad that she didn't forget, then again if she did forget he would of told her again. Karasu Nacht wipes his hands silently for he thought he felt something on them but he figured it was nothing as listened to Felicity just in case she needed help.

Felicity smiled and watched the stuff cook for a little bit before she turned her attention to Karasu. "I'm just wondering but would you be upset or anything if my family came over? I sent them letters to let them know of the engagement and they may show up unexpectedly because of that." she said.

"I wouldn't mind, I maybe a little nervous but nothing to serious after all this is a big occasion and so it can't be helped" Karasu Nacht looked in her direction with a smile before looking toward the pot and the cooking food as he silently took in the boiling of the water and the soft turning of the rice.

Felicity smiled from relief that he wouldn't be angry with her or her family. "Mhmm" she nodded in agreement with a smile and watched the food cook again while tucking a stray strand of blond hair behind her ear. "What about you Selvina? Are you nervous to meet them? You'll probably see them and they'll want to know about you." she said.

Selvina blinked a bit at what she said, and when she realized she had made Felicity cry, and after hearing the story, she said, "I'm sorry, Felicity, I don't know why I said that... never had a mom, see? And you're everything I imagined in a mother..." She shut up there, her own crimson eyes seeming to darken a bit, she smiled half heartedly, and started cutting up herbs.

Karasu Nacht went silent for a second as he listened to the both of them before he smiled in Selvina's direction. "Even if you don't have any parents please remember this, you could call us adoptive ones for you" Karasu Nacht ment it and he looked down some what well silently.

Felicity looked down a bit. She had been trying to go away from that matter of subject but she guessed that Selvina had missed or ignored her question to return to it. She didn't think she was ready to be called anyone's mother but she did agree with Karasu, she wouldn't put Selvina out or anything. "It's fine." she said softly as she stared out blankly. She was thinking for a bit though that she was finally brought back to reality when she noticed the food and almost burned it. "Oooh!" she turned the flame off and pouted. It was fine, just a few bits were actually dark.

Karasu Nacht heard Felicity's cry out and then sniffed the air and silently chuckled. "It is your first time so don't think badly of yourself or be disappointed." Karasu Nacht's understanding nature appeared and that made him more wiser than his 32 year old appearance.

Felicity looked over at Karasu and smiled softly. "I was hoping to get it right though for you." she said as she smiled and looked back at the food. "I guess you're right though, it's not near as bad as my usual attempts." she said and chuckled a bit.

Karasu Nacht grinned some what. "Is that so? My first few attempts were terrible. I'm pretty sure that whoever ate that food died within a few minute radius." Karasu Nacht kept his grin on his face but it was now gentle. "Thank you for trying to make it perfect for me, let me tell you something though, no matter how burnt it is I'll love it just how I love you."

Felicity grinned a bit, thinking he was joking about people dying soon after. She looked back at the food and smiled a bit as she turned to look at her fiance again. "Well if it doesn't taste good you don't have to eat it. I can order something or...something." she said and giggled a bit, just finding it a bit funny to have said something twice so soon between each other.

Karasu Nacht shook his head as he chuckled. "Why not eat it all though? Besides, you made it for me and it makes it even more special since you made it." Karasu Nacht looked in the floors direction and then back to Felicity's direction as he smiled politely.

Felicity smiled brightly as she looked up at Karasu, happy to hear he thought it was special. "Okay." she said happily in reference to eating it all idea. She moved over and hugged Karasu cheerfully then kissed his cheek.

Karasu Nacht smiled to the kiss. "So, are you going to try some with me?" Karasu Nacht was curious as he returned the hug with his left arm his expression quite soft in appearance. Karasu Nacht sniffed the food and he smiled for he was being honest. "It smells good actually."

Felicity smiled as she nodded her head. "Mhm" she said. She had planned to try some with him so she could see if her own cooking was good. Felicity smiled brightly "Really?" the question was like that of a child asking if they had done something right it sounded as she gazed up at him.

Karasu Nacht nodded in her direction as he smiled. "Really, something tells me that even though it is burned it will still taste good." Karasu Nacht walked toward the pot where the food is and he took a spoon and using his feeling senses placed the spoon in the fairly warm yet hot pot as he placed it to his mouth for a small taste.
