| Fable barked a laugh out looking back at Ren. "Ren you have to open your eyes, The world is our playground if you just have the spine to take it." Fable turned down a corner and stopped his eyes glowing as he stared at two people walking, Hot saliva dripped from his mouth as he bent and began to change. | |

| His brother had turned the corner before him and he lost site of his brother and his words. The air that lifted caused Ren to smell the couple and the change in his brother that was about to occur. Ren shook his head and rounded the corned just in time to see the people and watch what his brother was about to do. "Fable, brother, your words are clear to me but can't you understand? The world hasn't enough of us, the humans are in..increasing. We are not." He took a step forward, only behind his brother and sniffed the air around them. "Leave them be, brother." Ren looked at his brother and then at the people. | |

| Fable growled and spat standing up and stopping the transformation and going back to his original self, He growled slightly walking down a side alley his fists opening and closing as if they were closing on a throat. "Brother I am hungry, Your pet food doesn't state my hunger like it does yours! I need a place where i can eat and no one will notice people vanishing." | |

| Fable sighed before calming down and looked at his brother. "What fun is it to live if we can't live, I like human flesh and there blood! The chase they give me and the thrill of the hunt I don't see animals as a challenge as I see humans." Fable sat on a bench looking at the stars and the moon that hung there. "I want more brother, More than this life something to be proud of." | |

| Ren stood next to his brother, taking a quick glance as the people had disappeared into the dark night. A flick of his eyes and the wind gave a steady growl. "Brother, be thankful you are here. We must be grateful to thee, who let us live in the first place. Our life, is not the best we know that, no? Just think of it as an obstical for now, and when we're ready... Ren sighed and plopped next to Fable "When we are ready, we will vanish from this place and finally endure our real fate." He sighed again, looked at his brother. | |

| Fable shook his head as if that day was centuries away. "And what is our fate brother, To hide in the shadows while weak humans rule! We could tear them apart like baby pigs and yet our kind chooses to hide while our enemies only grow stronger and more advanced." Fable slammed his fist into the ground cracking he cement. "There was a time when our kind had the advantage, when men rode on horses and were easily slain but they were COWARDS, Not fit to lick the mud off my boots." Fable stood up walking over to his brother laying a hand on his shoulder. "I want the world brother, but I need your help." | |

| A sad smile hinted at the corner of Rens' lips. He sat there pondering at his brothers wrods, clearly thinking them over in his head. Hish head tilted up toward his brother and his eyes flashed him a small look of pitty. "Our fate brother, it is a strong power that I do not even know to the extent. I see what me leaves and herbs read, but they show little. You are my brother, my blood...I will roam with you, to stand by your side in the hell you have prepared us for. Ren stood up, facing his brother, he chuckled slightly. "what about your time at the academy? We've only just arrived." | |

| Fable laughed patting his brothers cheek. "Ren it will be years maybe centuries before we can even get started on these plans, I know were not strong enough yet so come will go out into the woods for a snack, I am starving but you don't want me to eat the flesh of Humans so I won't." Fable stalked off a grin on his face as he thought of the day when he could hunt as he chose. | |

| "You need to process in the papers through the box, you know, one by the bar." "Uh huh." "And then, there's the meeting with the Ice Demon up in the north." "Uh huh." "With that, the kin- Are you even listening to me!?!?" "Uh huh." "You're not!! Don't zone me out!!!" Masa just kept saying "uh huh" as he went down the street, his shoes and his cane repeated making a 'clack!' as they each time met the cobbler path. Masa, since when he doesn't, is wearing what he normal wear, a suit with a trenchcoat to block from the hateful sun. Also a hat on this oh so nice day. Also, it was not making his mood any better with Toshiro lecture him on everything in every second of the whole day. "Masa! You'll have to-" Masa tuned him out again, with a bad and tired expression nonetheless.

| Rain pattered down on the street, occasionally accompanied by the sharp sting of hail. Puddles massed together like lynch mobs, hurriedly rushing for the sewers pressed against the curbs. Others washed down the muddy hills into the overflowing creeks, as if desperate to escape the black, abysmal asphalt. On the side of the road sat a cardboard box, dark with rain water and nigh large enough to house a dog. Its sides were peeling apart, disintegrating under the torrential downpour, and its bottom leaked, though it was hardly discernable from any other puddle on the concrete. With a splutter, its inhabitant awoke, hissing in distaste as she sat up, startled. Her wide, cornflower blue eyes darted around as she coughed. Black fabric and ribbons clung to her pale, clammy skin in wet tendrils, soaked through by the rain. Her blonde hair was curled slightly and frizzed. Where...am I...? she thought, attempting to crawl out of the box, but only succeeding in tipping it over into another puddle. | |

| The hail and rain fell onto the pale skin that was not covered by the gray, black, and red clothes that it's wearer wore. The single black pigtail had strands of hair clinging to the pail skin from the rain. The neko demon kicked at a puddle of water as she walked down the street and sighed. "This is gloomy weather even for me." she muttered under her breath and kicked a pebble absentmindedly that hit a soaked cardboard box and blinked when the sound hit her ears. She looked up and saw the side view of a cardboard box that had just tipped over into a puddle it seemed.
Skipping over to the puddle, Kuro Neko, the possessor of bad luck, knelt next to the box and tapped it a bit with her clawed gloves. "Hello?" she called and got on her knees, not minding the water of the puddle soaking her legs. She crawled over to the opening and looked at the blond hair that she could see "Who are you?" she asked completely curious to who this person she had never seen before was.

| Masa loved the rain. Why? Well, for one thing, less people. More darkness. It covers the hated sunlight. And he could feel the cool water splashing upon his skin, since rain isn't really normal down on the abyss. Where there are only ceiling, ceiling, ceiling, and the occational crow.
Masa is a man who hated many things. People is weirdly one of them. Crowds is also some of them too. His trench coat swayed against the wind, as much as his hair is, which covered his eyes partly. His hat stayed on his head perfectly as if it was glue there altogether. In the empty streets, his foot steps, along with his cane that is tapping on the floor, echoed through clearly with the rain, a bit melodious if possible. His low baritone voice hummed out quiet beautifully, for he was enjoying the peacefulness and quietness of the day. His usual servant, Toshiro, would've been here today if he ever did find his master, which is Masa. He was giving his servant the slip once again. Masa just wanted a break from the boring life that his parents set out for him to do. It wasn't so hard to ask, but they always refused, so Masa have to take drastic measure just to get a break. LIke tying up Toshiro in the closet in some occasion till another servant found his main butler. Stopping, he almost twiched in anger as he found two girls on the street. And this was suppose to be the day where he can have some peace and quiet!! He was threaten to go and kick them out of his way.

| Pushing herself up from the rain with sopping wet bangs in her eyes, Josephine lifted her head up to look at the other girl who had approached her. For a moment, she merely stared, blinking curiously; it was rare that she got to see another person. Quietly, she sat up and rubbed the sleep and water from her eyes, trying futiley to smooth the mud and water from out of her outfit. "Josephine," she answered, "My name is Josephine. Who are you?" And where am I...? Distracted once more by her surroundings, she looked about, her sensitive ears catching the sound of a cane tapping on the pavement. She swiveled her head about sharply to look for the noise with a curious, hopeful mew, as if she might find her master coming to pick her up. As she saw that it was only a random stranger, though he held a slight resemblance to her master, she huffed and frowned, sorely disappointed. | |

| A small and gentle smiled spread over Kuro's lips but revealed her cat fangs slightly. "My formal name is Kuro Neko." she said as she tilted her head to the side a bit, her cat golden eyes closing for a moment as she smiled. Kuro's ears picked up the sound of a cane hitting the wet street and she turned her head to look at the stranger and she smiled at him like an innocent child, unstained by blood and violence before looking back at the golden haired female.
"Are you new here? I've never seen you before. Never seen that guy before either." she said, jerking her head in the male's direction a bit to indicate him "But a lot of new students and residents have been showing up lately." Then she tilted her head to the side a bit again "Are you alright? You seem a bit confused." she said then looked at the female's clothes and looked over at the male "Hey you, don't you know how to be a gentlemen? You're suppose to come and help young women." she said.

| Masa was irked by what Kuro, a tick mark appearing on his jaw. He would've cared less on what would happen with them! He doesn't even want to do anything that has to do with them. But of course, he cane just have to be loud enough to cause attention and the other girl has to look at him only to just turn around in a frustrated huff. What in the world did he ever do?! Then the darker haired girl just have the nerve to order him and tell him what manners are? He isn't gentleman. He's a demon. A cold hearted demon who cared nothing for others but himself. Also three's a crowd. He hates crowds. He doesn't want to do anything with them. So in an attempt to be become one of the crowds, he began to ignore them, not even looking at them, and hoped that they wouldn't even tried to stop him. Masa just wanted peace and quiet. Nothing more. No one bothering him about anything. No one bothering him taking responsiblity. But sadly, as soon as he was in a 3 yard radius, his whole body frozed, his cat senses tingling throughout his entire body. His eyes slowly turned to the two, and he could guess what kind of people are they. They're related to Nekos. Cats. He's not scared of them, it's just the his body stops whenever he's near them for some reason or another. But now, he gotten to close and couldn't move anymore, his face visablly paling. | |

| As the other man drew near, she looked at him out of the corner of her eye, her tail twitching out of the box in an angry fit. Hissing a little at the look he gave her, and at the fact that he seemed like her master, but wasn't, she flattened her ears on her head and looked back to Kuro. With a forlorn look at the box, she reached in and picked up the card, and spray bottle, staring at them both curiously. "Since I've never been here before, I suppose I'm new. But that begs the question as to where 'here' is," she said quietly. "And...I don't know if I'm alright. I don't know where my master is, or where I am, or what the hell I'm doing out on the side of the road in a box. And," she continued with a frustrated swat at her dirty clothes, "I'm all messy now..."

| Kuro rolled her eyes at the man, she would bother him later. She would make sure of that. "'Here' is an academy for all the different creatures that exist basically. It's what the land we're on originally was for...I think. But there's also a town, which we're in now. Specifically we're on a street in the town." she said and giggled a bit. "Well...to me you look like an abandoned cat." she said honestly and shrugged her shoulders a bit. "And of course you're messy, we're still in the middle of a puddle that's a mix of hail, melted snow, gravel, dirt, and rain." she said as she looked down at the puddle.
"Are you suppose to be going to school here?" Kuro asked when she looked back up at Josephine. She pointed at the paper ad spray bottle "And are those what you were left with? That doesn't seem like much." she said, wondering just what kind of master this girl had had before ending up here.

| "Maybe," she said indecisively, trying to read the smudged up card. "I really don't know. One moment I was asleep in Master's room, and then I'm waking up, half drowning in my sleep." Still attempting to wash the mud and grime out of her clothes, she frowned and glared down at the dirty splotches. Her thoughts swam with the last night she remembered, the thunderstorm and how her master had been kind enough to let her sleep in his room. And then, her thoughts flitted to her current situation. An "abandoned cat," Kuro had called her. Well, didn't that sound right. Judging from what she could remember of her first few sentient thoughts, that's what she'd been from birth until her master had picked her up. "But I don't know why Master would leave me here...I thought I was doing good. I kept his house spotless and his food perfectly prepared for nine years...I obeyed every rule..." | |

| Kuro shrugged her shoulders a bit and brushed back some black strands that were clinging to her face. "Maybe he got bored with you. Some men do that and their the ones who are worthless. They deserve a nice, large amount of bad luck to even them out." she said and smiled as she chuckled a bit darkly. Kuro Neko, also known as Black Cat for the literal translation of her name, dealt with bad luck a lot, even if she did twist it a few times.
"So then, unless that note says he's going to be coming to get you, I wouldn't put a lot a faith into him." she said and patted Josephina's shoulder gently then stood up and swatted at her knees a bit to brush off some of the gravel though it smeared the mud. "Like there's men like him for example" Kuro said as she waved her hand at the male near them who had stopped like he was frozen. "They don't have a drop of chivalry left and just think selfishly. And with other things..." she said and shook her head a bit.

| Looking again to the paper in her hand, she could barely make out a printed set of numbers, and no more. The ink had smeared, but it didn't appear that there was much to be made out of it anyway. Standing up, she dusted off as much dirt as she could, and let the card fall into the water, clutching the spray bottle with her other hand. The card fluttered to the ground like an injured creature, landing in a swiftly moving puddle which curled its edges and bore it away with the eb of a tide. She thought for a moment on what Kuro had said, about her master becoming bored with her, and at last shook her head. I suppose I'm on my own, now, she thought, lifting her head to look again at her surroundings with a frown. Joyful. "Being a black cat," she said, "I seem to have an awful lot of bad luck myself." | |

| Kuro watched the piece of paper fall and poked at it with her foot as she watched it go with the tide then chuckled at what her fellow neko person had said. "If you're luck is bad, I can say for sure that I had nothing to do with it as of yet." she said and laughed a bit. "Now some other people's luck I may bother." she said, implying the male stranger. Then she looked back at the spray bottle and blinked her golden eyes as the hail started to let up a little.
"So what is the spray bottle for anyway? It seems a bit weird to have so I don't understand it. Are you suppose to spray yourself or something? Or had you been watering plants before you passed out?" she asked. Then shook her head "Ignore the watering plants thing, just remembered you said you had been asleep in the guy's bedroom." she said.

| With her attention flitting around from point to point, unable to keep a steady focus in her new surroundings, Josephine barely heard Kuro as she spoke again. She did, however, catch the words "spray bottle" and "master," which dragged her mind back to a somewhat lucid state. Inspecting the spray bottle she held, she recalled all of her master's teaching on the element she was associated with, and the ability with which he had gifted her. The thoughts, half whispered in her subconscious gave her the eerie feeling, for a moment, that all she had ever been to her master was an experiment. Following that was the realization that, despite having spent her life with him, she knew little to nothing of him. "I don't know what it's for," she admitted, "but I'm sure I can find a use for it." As she spoke, she opened the top and began by gathering some of the water off her dress into its opening with gentle scoops and slow movements, as if she were mimicking the ebb of a tide. The murky sludge washed against the sides of the spray bottle, sloshing with a sickening squish that indicated a tainted solution. As she concentrated, the dark grey soon turned to a milky white, the mud falling prey to varying concentrations of hydrogen and hydroxide ions as she brought them up and down. The acids destroyed a majority of the contaminates, and their alternate bases, when she changed them, destroyed the remaining proteins. When finished, she allowed it to settle and brought the pH to an even level of seven, then dumped it out. She repeated the process until she was no longer dirty, only wet, and left it at that with a sigh. I'll dry out later, I suppose, but at least I'm clean, she thought with a satisfied smile. | |
