Old Burnt Church

this is a church that was used by the townspeople many years ago before it had been burned with people in it.

Neytiri walked inside the burnt church and took a look around, wondering why such a place was destroyed. Nikita came up right beside her and he took in a deep breath, getting the small of a hybrid. "What is that? It smells like, a machine, and death."Nikita stated under his own breath. As Neytiri stopped, she inhaled just like Nikita did and caught the same scent. "Hm. I smell it too. But what is it?"Neytiri asked Nikita after she heard him speak under his breath.

Roxas could sense them, actually they were an aisle away from him. ''It's called noting but the thing does have a name.'' He spoke up loud enough for the other two to hear as his eyes were looking back at the broken tiles. He turns his head slight till to watch the odd pair. A being and a animal.. Then again he wasn't so different.

Neytiri stopped as well as Nikita. They both looked at each other and then back to the other who spoke. "Then what is thy name, Stranger??"Neytiri asked as she then began to walk up to the stranger to see what he looked like, her eyes looked as if they were half closed as she looked at him. As for Nikita, he stayed back and kept a close eye on the two but mainly the one Neytiri was speaking to.

''Roxas Skies.'' He said. Looking at the girl, who was walking towards him. His hat still covered his right eye, while his left stands out blue, even with the shadow of his hat over his left eye. ''And You two, What are your names?'' He asked He was relaxed. Tilting his head forward looking at the female now. For a major fact Roxas didn't look like a robot or a machine he looked human but he smelled different.

Neytiri sat down on one of the benches, facing Roxas with no emotion in her face nor in her blue eyes either. The moon shone through the holes in the burnt up ceiling, shining down on the three that were inside. The moon shone so brightly over Neytiri's pale, soft looking skin. "I am Neytiri. It is nice to meet you Roxas."Neytiri said as she slowly bowed her head to him and lifting it back up.

Nikita walked over to Roxas, slightly sniffed his arm then walked over to Neytiri and sat down in front of her. "And I am Nikita, Neytiri's brother. I too think it is nice to meet you."Nikita said in a husky voice as the moon shined down on his black silky fur.

Roxas watched Nikita seem his robotic arm, he knew the big cat would know it wasn't real. Yet he choose an different approach. ''So Nikita, Neytiri, What brings you to his church, my guess is that your not religious.'' Heck! Nether was he he just came here cause he liked it. Plus theirs no priest here, heck i think there too scared to come back.

Neytiri looked around the place with a soft, silent sigh. "I dont know, really. It's like something just pulled me to this place. So I had to come and check it out. And so far I like it, no one is giving me strange look about the clothing I am wearing, and best of of no priests here. They talk too much if you ask me."Neytiri said while she was looking around. Then she turned her head and looked back at Roxas.

Nikita yawned and spoke after Neytiri did. "And I am just following her because I have kept a promise to her to protect her and keep her safe."Nikita stated as he looked up at Neytiri.

He nods understanding them both. ''It's your body wear whatever you want. It's not like people are going to force strip you Neytiri. Beside last time I remeber living around her doesn't matter what you are and what you dress like. -Well to a certain point of what you are, some people are iffy about but still no one really cares..'' He spoke. Yet he frowned remembering something else but that was personal to him.

Neytiri and Nikita both looked at each other and then looked back at Roxas. "Exactly. Wow. It's like I have already known you, though I have only just met you."Neytiri said as she leaned in a bit and looked closer at Roxas. "Now, now Neytiri. Dont go getting all worked up. You will freak the boy out."Nikita stated to her as he looked up at her then laughed a bit. His laugh was husky like an older man.

Neytiri quickly turned her head and looked down at Nikita with a glare. Nikita then lowered his head.

Roxas only blinked at the female as she leaned into him. ''I have never met you before, but I'm very open minded.'' He told her. Roxas chuckled at the two and how they reacted, his laugh was normal, like anyone else.

Neytiri looked back at Roxas with a humble smile. Her blue eyes had a somewhat sparkle to them, like itty bitty light blue sparkling rocks were in her eyes. "Well that is a good thing, i think."Neytiri said to him as she kind of scratched her head with slightly squinted eyes, a look of confusion.

Roxas's Eyes close again, his robotic arm -which actually has the appearance and texture of a real arm-rested on his stomach. He couldn't look at the girls eyes, they shined too much, too alive. Unlike him, Dead and a Artificial Intelligence Robot-ish what had the perfect form of a human.

Neytiri slanted her head a tad and began to speak. "You okay Roxas?"Neytiri asked him while she reached down and also began to scratch Nikita on the back of his ears. Nikita was enjoying the scratching behind his ears. "Ah yes, to the left, no no your other left. Aaah! That's it. Riight there!"Nikita said in a shaky happy and "enjoying the feel of this" tone as he closed his eyes.

''Your eyes are too bright'' He told her not telling her it was cause she had that life look in her eyes. Then he soon adds. ''You mean right not left..'' Correcting the giant cat.

Neytiri gave him a somewhat shocked and also confused look. She then stopped scratching behind Nikita's ear, bringing her hands to her knees. "Well I am sorry.Neytiri told Roxas as she then also lowered her head as Nikita did. Neytiri didnt know what to say to him at that moment.

Roxas opened his eyes and looked down.'' No I'm sorry.. It's something I know you wouldn't understand. It's nothing really..'' He felt like he shouldn't of made that comment about her eyes, he felt regret.

Neytiri stood up without a sound and had begun to shuffle her feet around a tad bit. "I am sorry if I have disturbed your peacefulness. Nikita and I shall go now. It was most pleasant to meet you, Roxas. I hope we meet up again."Neytiri told him as she then softly moved Nikita with her bare leg, making him get up onto his feet and walking out the door. "Good bye, Roxas."Nikita said as he walked out the burnt doorway. "Yes, good bye Roxas."Neytiri finally said as she grabbed his hand and shook it gently then walked out of the burnt doorway as well, right after Nikita.

Roxas frowns.. So he did insult her! his frown deeps looking down at the hand she shook, it was his only real hand, well as real as you can get for dead. His human one at lest. He felt regret.. He was still learning about making friends again. He stayed silent but whispered a Bye. Knowing she'll properly not hear it he sighed then muttered to himself ''Lilith.. This isn't working out..'' He mutters.

Roxas then stood up and walked away.

Raindrops chattered monotonously with the cement below on the sidewalk, the erratic light from the lampposts keeping no constant pattern. Puddles shaped into the small crevices and cracks of the sidewalks, leisurely flowing into the sewers. Bleak within the curtain of rain was a femininely built figure with black, coal-colored locks that clung to her skin in damp strands and cool, scarlet irises.

“Such cheerful weather. I might go for a spot of tea—goddamn… Weiss, you’re rubbing off on me.” The composed voice sarcastically noted.

Caedan walked silently through the rain, a black hood up over his head with his silver hair poking out the front of it. His weapon was at his side clipped to a metal holster attached to his belt. His lone black figure stood out through the rain as he continued to walk, the only noise coming from his direction being the rain hitting his clothing and running off of it smoothly.
Damn rain.. he thought to himself. "Now I'm making noise.." he murmured through the pitter-patter of the rain. Caedan sighed as he was now completely noticeable.

As the annoyance of the shower began to wear down the girl’s spirits, she raised a lithe hand to her face in an attempt to shield her eyes from the wind that now began to team up with the raindrops. With a ‘tsk’ given from rosy, curvy lips, she shouldered open two large wooden doors that groaned and creaked in protest. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness naturally, her pupils dilated as damp grass and glowing, white flowers invaded her senses. Weiss’s body suddenly emerged floating beside the girl’s head as his powerful, haughty tone echoed within the remnants of what appeared to be an old, burnt church.

“Best to be alert, Nereis. Another’s presence was outside.” He spoke with mild irritation as his pages shook off droplets that clung to his body.

“I am not a fan of religion, however, for this to happen to a place of worship; it’s slightly depressing.” Nereis slid her hands through her coal black, damp locks, shaking off the excess water and continuing to walk around the church, the ground now overgrown with lush green grass and glowing white flowers that seemed to only exist under rays of nightlight; they were breathtaking.

Caedan frowned as she beat him to opening the doors. He hated that he wasn't quick enough to open the door for her and surprise her, but his silent gait brought him quickly through the doors behind her, almost like a whisper as he passed her by, striding into the church smoothly with a low murmur as he passed. "Can it, Grimoire..You know who it is."
He stopped in the middle of the church, his elven eyes darting from corner to corner of the decrepit, smoldered church. "Damn..someone hated whatever they found in here." he said smoothly, his elven native accent still noteworthy on his tongue as he had just come from conversation with the strange elven man in the forest outside the town. Caedan turned over his shoulder and glanced at Grimoire Weiss, warning him with his eyes not to bring up the accent that he was bound to recognize. They both knew what reaction it would bring Nereis, and it wouldn't be pleasant. "Nereis." Caedan spoke lowly and smoothly. "You shouldn't wander off on your own around here until we both know what kind of academy this is." he finished as he took off his coat and slung it over his shoulder. His silken shirt showed a bit of sheen due to the water droplets falling off of his coat and the rooftop pieces onto it. His eyes picked up the flowers out of the corner of his eye and he quickly grabbed one, walking over to Nereis as silently as ever and placing it behind her ear.

“It is Grimmoire Weiss! You forsaken boy…” He spat immediately back as he hovered away from the girl to get a better look around the church. Weiss wasn’t one to accept having his name abbreviated. Only every so often did Nereis even get away with it. “Ah, so begin the Elven accents that place aneurisms upon the girl; you’re not the brightest leaf on the tree, are you?”

Nereis’ eyes flicked back and forth between the faded red markings on the wall and the eerily shattered stained glass windows that only seemed to cast splintered lights over the uprooted wooden plants and the verdant carpet of grass.

“You started talking to a strange man…” Nereis answered coolly as she raised her hand to brush the flower out of her hair, only to examine it meticulously with glowing, carnelian shade; the corners of her rose-pink lips upturned into a ghost of a smile, as she exhaled and continued to speak. “And now Weiss is mumbling about those fairy tales again, haha…”

Caedan held a finger up to Weiss as he walked past him to silence him. "Not my fault." he said pointedly as he glared at the floating tome. "That man talked to me. I had no interest in continuing, but he was very persistent. Kind of a pain." he noted with a frown before turning on his heel back to Nereis, happy to see her smile. "I only care for your safety, Nori..My own is of no consequence to myself. If you like it, I can grab a bulb from here and grow some more for your dorm here." he offered kindly with a raised eyebrow. His eyes were softer than they'd be for anyone else, a striking contrast to the annoyed glare with which he held at Weiss for mentioning the accent. "Yes, the fairytales indeed. There was just some pollen in the air that I wasn't used to. It made my throat close up a little and slip into an odd accent is all." he said, hating to feed into her issue, but not wanting for the arguments that always occur afterwards.
