Bridge

Nereis hand slowly rose up to rub her neck as her gaze averted itself downward, her body naturally seeming to freeze up and stand adamantly still. It wasn’t until she exhaled that she moved and continued walking, though her eyes refused to pull away from the ground below.

“Someone this mentally unstable shouldn’t be out and about...” she spoke underneath her breath with a growing disgust for the stranger.

Akira's eyes remain open as he rubs his hair knocking the frost off of it. "Well Seth, its a pleasure to meet you to buddy." Akira looked to Nereis some what agreeing with her before looking to Seth silently.

Seth sighed, and pointed to a Vampire, "I am not the only fantastic creature around here, you just have to know where to look." He pointed to a man turning into a wolf, and a demon fighting an angel, "Only difference for humans, you can choose to ignore it, the rest of us can't." He smirked, his eyes glowing white.

“I cannot even begin to count how many people should be put into asylums around here. It’s unnerving.” Nereis’ voice quavered for a moment before she opened her eyes to look straight at the man, her expression placid with a smile adorning her lips. Through her eyes, these people deserved nothing more than to be pitied and taken care of – in privacy.

Akira placed his right arm behind his head looking to Seth some what worriedly. This wasn't helping Nereis not one bit after all she took him out of the bar and now here they are back in a uncomfortable situation again. Why did this always happen to him. Akira sighed and he looked to Seth silently before walking a bit closer to Nereis his expression blank.

Seth sighed. He wasn't gonna get a believer out of this pair like this, so, he appeared behind them, and said, "This may be a bit cold." He picked them both up, and took off, flying above the trees with each in hand, before returning to the bridge, his wings folding behind him.

Nereis’ breath caught as he disappeared, her immediate reaction to look over her shoulder. Seeing the man was behind her a second later, she twisted on her heel and dug it into the ground to push away from him before he touched her. This man was beyond abnormal. As she managed to get a few feet away from the man, her darkness had subconsciously kept a hold on Akira to keep him from lifting off of the bridge.

“Hotaka? Are you alright?”

Akira's eyes were wide but he nodded kindly. "Hai" Akira looked to behind him before looking to Seth silently with a funny expression. What was he trying to do, Akira didn't know and he surely wouldn't be able to know if he remained thinking about it. At times, Akira just wished things would be fine and without odd endings being added in with the mix. Akira shrugged not sure what to say but was glad that Nereis was here with him or else the odd ending would of been bad.

Seth groaned, and said hovered there, his wings beating freezing air at the ground, "I was trying to show you that I am not crazy, you're just not seeing!" His eyes went to black, and he covered both their feet with blocks of ice.

“You psychopath… stop tormenting us.”

Angered with the man, Nereis eyes narrowed into thin slits to avoid the icy gales and began to chip at the ice with a rock that was within reach. She hated this place. This was the third time this week that she had been harassed by a person with the same problem. They thought themselves to be supernatural. Her ruby eyes glanced over to Akira, slightly frantic and worried for what was of him now.

Akira sighed chipping off the ice with his hand and he looked to Nereis and he smiled faintly before looking to Seth and he sighed standing straight again. "Seth, please understand that we aren't going to believe you. That's in our nature." Akira sounded like his father and he walked a bit closer to Nereis his eyes remaining on Seth.

Seth looked at Akira, and said, "[color=white]No, its not that you're not going to believe me, its that you are not trying to. How do you explain me having wings? Or the ability to cover your entire body in ice if I so wish? How to you explain Shape Shifters? Or Crusnik? Its not that we are part of your world, you are part of ours." His eyes changed crimson, and he gulped, appearing on the other side of the bridge, "The first time one of you is onset by a Vampire, then you'll believe me." He disappeared then, looking at the pair with pity, and leaving two bracelets on their arms without touching them.

Nereis gave a frustrated yelp as she shut her eyes and ripped off the bracelet, tossing it to the ground and stomping on it. Her rage quickly simmered as she stumbled slightly and caught herself, her vision temporarily doubling over as she squinted.

“Hotaka?” she called in a broken, tired voice; it was evident the entire confrontation took quite the toll on her mind.

Akira gasped and ran over hugging her softly. "I'm here, are you tired. Go ahead and rest" Akira was concerned and seeing the item on his wrist he pulled it off and threw it to the side before returning his attetnion on Nereis his expression helpless.

“People sure are weird… ne?” Trying to lighten the mood, Nereis gave a weakened smile, looking up to Akira with a helpless expression, her cheeks flushed the faintest red. Her crimson red eyes returned to their normal state as she saw Akira was fine. A relieved sigh escaped her lips.

Akira smirked lightly with his eyes closed. "Hai. Your quite the human, Nereis" Akira couldn't help but hold her after all she was tired and he could see that. He would remain there with her, Akira was loyal enough to do that.

“Me? Oh, what makes you say that? You never lost your composure, I did.” She modestly announced as she glanced up to Akira calmly then down to her mud speckled thighs and calves. Her eyes caught sight of the two bracelets that were smeared in mud, though the one that was given to Nereis was more tattered because of the action done unto it.

“You were brave, Hotaka.”

Akira snickered as he closed his eyes with a smile some what warmly. "I'm stubborn and that makes into bravery. You however kept me from flying which that makes you strong. I'm glad you were here or else things would of ended for me" Akira shyly looked to where he threw the bracelet before returning his eyes on hers.

“Hotaka, you’re giving me much more credit than I can claim.”

Unsure of what to make of the bracelets, Nereis looked away from them and simply closed her eyes, the scent of humid air soon overtaking her senses. Rain was something that calmed her. She might even stay out for the night if it rained all night.

Akira some what smirked as he looking down to her lightly. "So, will you be alright? Do you want to take you somewhere?" Akira could easily put her on his back, he is strong and can easily manage it. Akira silently looked to where Seth flew off to but didn't say anything.

Standing herself up, albeit a tad shakily, Nereis shook her head and gave a smile, momentarily adjusting her bangs. Shaking off all uncertainties, the girl gave a whimsical laugh and helped Akira up, waiting for him to lead the way this time.

“I will be. Since I do not know any location from here on our, would you lead the way?” she asked in a curious tone.

River growled from the darkness, her skin black, and her tail swishing back and forth. She looked at the pair, and appeared in front of them, her eyes pupilless.

Akira looked to Nereis and he thought for a second before looking to side shyly. "Uh, I don't know where to go so um do you want to go to my dorm and rest up? I'll make you some soup or something." Akira looked to her curiously. Akira blinked and he looked over and his blood almost stopped as he placed himself infront of Nereis knowing that she is tired and some what frowned at the stranger.

“Alright.” Smiling, with her back turned to the creature and facing Akira, the ruby-eyed girl gave a laugh that was quickly jostled in response to a disturbing view. Seeing Akira’s eyes widen with fear caused Nereis’ own to narrow. Right as she felt something behind her, a growl pinpointed its location.

Moving her hand swiftly to take Akira’s bicep in her arm, her head slightly jerked to the side, implying for Akira to begin walking in the opposite direction.

Akira follows her after a second for he didn't want to overly exhaust Nereis for she was already tired. Softly but sure, Akira leads her to his dorm making sure to be calm and at the same time quick on his departure.
