A Waterfall

"Me? I'm fine. I never spoke with Elena often, just mainly about the school and what not. Like business. I only freely saw her the one time we went out drinking though we didn't go out together, I met her and someone else at the bar." Ceres smiled then sighed and shrugged her shoulders before she lifted a leg straight up out of the water so there was two sides of a square sort of shape as she looked at the water drip from her skin. "Some others though aren't doing too well. I heard she had kids and a husband I think. I guess I feel a bit sorry for them. Now though I'm helping the new principal get settled and temporary taking over the position of vice principal while doing my duty as a teacher."

Aiyana nodded, and said, "Yeah, kinda the same situation with me. The M'laniri are uneasy. They had a treaty with Elena, they didn't expect her to die, considering she was technically kinda dead anyway... They don't really get Vampirism... But, they think that since she is dead, the Treaty is off, and the only way I could keep it going was to... My mom died the same night Elena died, so... I had to become High Priestess of the M'laniri Tribe of the Hawk." She finished tiredly. She sighed, and began to trace circles on the rock, from the water. She only barely noticed a figure in the waterfall, but she didn't care. She just laid there, "Who is the new Principal, if I may ask?"

'So, that young elf is the vice principal.' Hiro thought.

"M'laniri?" Hiro said out loud without meaning too. He didn't notice he said it out loud either. He had seen a hybrid, half M'Laniri half witch. This woman had said she was the high priestess of the Hawk tribe.

'Maybe she knows of angels?' Hiro thought

"Shaka Anima has taken over Elena's job however if he needs any help, I'm here to offer it. Just as I am to you. I think Elena told me once I do too much but I can't remember. Is there something I can do to assist you and your people? I don't have much to back me however just in case if that's what you're needing. I may have been from an elven village in the mountains but I am not liked there, there were glad to see me leave with a stranger who became my master. Not slave master by the way, he was my sword instructor and such." she clarified.

Ceres blinked and was on her feet in an instant, moving her hand to her sword, ready to draw it as she called out clearly. "Who's there and what do you want?" she asked in a voice that echoed in the area since it had been relativity quiet. She was looking directly at the male though, her two differently colored eyes watchful.

Aiyana nodded, and said, "The people will trust you. In all truth, so our legends tell us, we are but half-breeds of Angels and Elves. If you mated with an Angel, you would come up with one of three things, An Angel, An Elf, or a M'Laniri. It is rare, but my people have survived through the years by learning everything we could by tracing our line through the Female side of the family. We are as cousins, if you look at it that way." She smirked a bit, and twinged at the voice above them, "Come down, if you want to speak, young one." She said in a calm, but firm voice.

Hiro let his book down as he heard them calling him.

'Did I say something out loud?' Hiro wondered in his mind.

"Hello" Hiro opened his wings and flew to them slowly as if to not alert them.

Hiro looked at the elf who had her hand at her sword.

"I mean no harm ladies. I was just over there reading my book, and i couldnt help but to hear what you were both saying" Hiro told them

"I am Hiro" He said grinning at them both. While wondering if the M'laniri knew about his father , the Arch Angel Michael

Ceres rolled her eyes and shifted so she didn't look ready to attack but she was still cautious. "Do you know how many times I've heard someone say they meant no harm but the did and attacked moments later?" she asked with her head tilted to the side a bit then shrugged. "So you're trying to say you weren't eavesdropping on purpose but you were still eavesdropping right?" she asked then looked over at Aiyana "What do you think we should do? He looks like a student but he could be someone else. Unless he hasn't enrolled yet though I haven't seen him."

Aiyana nodded to Ceres, but reserved judgment for his story, "Explain yourself." She said in the same firm, but calm tone. She didn't need him making a blunder of himself in front of Ceres, if he wanted to enroll. She patted a the rock beside her, and waited.

Hiro tilted his head a little. Then use his left hand to scratch his head."I thought I just did. I was reading a book over there (points to place) and I heard your conversations. I know I shouldn't eavesdrop but I can't help having good hearing." Hiro told them.

Hiro looked at the elf and then at the woman who said was m'laniri

"I have good hearing and I can tone out sounds." Ceres grumbled. She wasn't in the best of moods since she had been bored all day. "And that my be your story but since you made no comment on rather you're a student or not, I'm going to go with not." she said. Ceres sighed and flopped down on the ground and waved her hand around a bit "Littlestar, you deal with him please unless you really need me. Though did you have anything else you wanted to inform me of or randomly tell me?" she asked, her question directed at Aiyana.

Aiyana blushed, and shook her head.She patted Ceres' shoulder lightly, and turned to Hiro, looking at him, and said, "But you said my peoples name. Why?" She asked quietly, trying to get something from her mind.

"I did?" Hiro said.

'Should pay more attention when thinking and reading at same time' Hiro thought.

"I know a half breed of your kind,and also I am looking for information...about Angels, well more like just one Angel" Hiro told her the truth bluntly.

Hiro turned to the elf who seemed bored or tired "You Elf, I do want to enroll , but want to get to know it before I do." Hiro told the elf.

Ceres glared at him "Don't call me Elf like it's some sort of brand!" she snapped but her voice hardly rose. "You can call me Nightingale, you don't need a first name from me for now." she added and crossed her arms as she listened to them.

Aiyana smirked, and said, "You gave Seth your first name." But she didn't press the matter, instead she said, "Be respectful, Hiro, this is the Vice Principal, and I am a Teacher, though I appear young, I am older than I look." She smiled, and said, "The Halfling witch... yes, I suspected as much, she was a high Priestess at one point in time, but because of her... eccentricities, she was taken from power, and my mother was put into place." She paused, then asked, "And which angel would that be, Hiro?"

Hiro wondered at why would an elf be bother by calling him an elf

'someones grumpy' Hiro thought

Turning to look at the Teacher who asked him something he said " It is an ArchAngel his name is Michael. Also it is also disrespectful not saying your name after someone said theirs ,no matter. I am sorry Ms. Nightingale." Hiro then looked at the teacher in front of him expectantly waiting for an answer

"I'm only subbing as the Vice Principal" she said with a sigh. She wanted to stay as her potions and spells teacher without having to worry about being second in charge. She got up and looked up at Aiyana, Ceres only being four feet and eleven inches tall. "By the way, what all happened while you were gone?" she asked "Besides what you told me."

Aiyana sighed, and said, "For one to become High Priestess, she must bear a daughter. I don't know if it has worked yet, but until I become... well, until I bear a daughter, I am only filling in for my mother as Lev'Nina. Acting High Priestess. If, however, a Priestess Bears a daughter before me, she becomes High Priestess, though... they would rather it be me, because I am what they call a Pure blood. My mom was Descended from the first M'Laniri."

She looked at Hiro, and said, "Michael, Father of the M'Laniri race so our lore says. Also, he was on the same squad as our own Angel, Seth Littlewolf, so... he would really be the one to ask, not me." She shrugged, and said, "Sorry, Hiro."

"Thank you" Hiro smiled.

"Good bye" Hiro waved at the teacher who didn't told him his name then just looked at Ceres and smirked

Hiro got out his book, opened it to the page he was on. Just as he did that his body banished, it was just a clone of himself made out of wind.

He hadn't move from where he was, still in the boulder reading his book.

Ceres sat down and waved her hand, making the area turn incredibly windy with large gusts of wind. She was frustrated. "Sounds like a pain. I certainly wouldn't have a kid just for that and I don't care for the whole pure blood thing, it'd the dumbest thing I ever heard of." she said with a shrug. Ceres never knew her parents but all guessed she was an elf and just that.

Aiyana sighed, and said, "Its the only way to keep the Treaty from crumbling, otherwise you would have M'Laniri MagiWarriors At your very School Gate... so... I have to do this for the sake of your school, and my people." She blushed a bit, and said, "I hope you understand. Didn't you ever have a duty to uphold, but couldn't? I was being groomed as a priestess, but I became a MagiWarrior, and now it is biting me in the ass..." She sighed, and began to trace her markings with a finger.

Hiro read his book wondering who was this seth person

'So my father did that huh?' Hiro thought

He continued to listen to their conversations

Ceres sighed "I didn't have a duty to uphold....not really....but something bad still happened because I wasn't there quick enough. Someone died because of my mistake." she said and shrugged a bit. "And even if a bunch came, I'd fight them if they tried anything. I can't kill without really wanting to since my sword is designed that way but I have killed before and I'm working my way up. If they tried to hurt anyone and I'm around, I'd fight back, just telling you." she said.

Aiyana nodded, "Which is why I need to do this, Ceres. Please understand, this is my peoples way. I can't change it, it is ingrained into our stories, the High Priestess-hood always went mother to daughter, on and on, anon." She sighed, and put her hand on Ceres', "I can't make you understand, I can only plea for patience.

Hiro wondered if it was a big deal that their treaty was broken when the old principal died.

'Are M'laniri Magiwarriors that numerous or that strong?' Hiro thought

"I hate races that thing they're better and pure, all your people sound like is that. They remind me too much of the Castilis elves that I hate as well. I've watched things change even though I haven't been alive long for my kind, if it's even my kind. They started out saying they couldn't change. The truth is, they don't want to change because they fear it or are too closed minded to break tradition." she said with a shrug of her shoulders as if it was the most casual conversation ever.
