Town Pool

The pool where family, friends and foes come to swim and have a good time.

"Hey?" She says as she slightly tries to push him away. "I just figured it out not too long ago. Okay?" She said as she looked at him, anger and worry in her dark yet again dilated eyes.

Seth waved a hand dismissively, "I didn't mean it rudely. This voice is mainly a product of going to a harsh land. I had to be mean to survive." He shrugged, and sighed, "I am happy for you though. You are with a good guy, and having a kid with him, that's great." He smiled what he hoped was a convincing smile, and said, "I am, and will always be, your guardian angel," He smirked ruefully, "Even when you don't want me to be."

"Thanks Seth." She said as she looked at him the put her hand on her head then walked over to a chair and sat down.

Seth cleaned some water, and put it in a cup he made from Ice, and handed it to her, "Here, this will help." He said, spreading his wings, and making a nice cool breeze go through.

Elena softly smiled. "Thanks, again Seth." She said as she drank the water and held the ice cup in her hand, cooling herself down.

Seth nodded, beginning to think, "You loved him before me didn't you?" There was no pain in his voice, nor malice. It had gone back to what it used to be, but more resigned, and older.

"Yes. And I'm sorry. I fell in love with him when my mother wanted his family and him to protect me when I was younger." She said as she looked up at him.

Seth smiled lightly, absorbing this, "I just came along, and messed things up for a tiny bit, I guess." He chuckled some, not sounding mean, "I just hope he makes you happy."

Elena stood up and looked up at him. "Ugh I dont like being short. But anyways, don't say that you've messed anything up. You did not mess anything up." She said to him, placing her hands on her hips.

Seth pushed her lightly, sitting her back down, "No, it just took longer for you to find your Vampire lover." He teased lightly. He didn't want to show her the amount of pain he was in, but as always his eyes turning a bright red gave that away.

Elena stood back up and crossed her arms over her chest. "Dont talk or think like that. Just think positive, Seth." She said to him.

Seth chuckled, "If I think anymore positive, I might as well grab your arm right now, and run it through my chest." His eyes danced a light green for a second, then went to their normal blue, hiding most everything.

Elena sighed and turned away, walking around to get feeling back into her legs.

Seth sighed, and followed her, "That was meant to be a joke, lo- Elena." He said, catching himself before he said anything stupid. He walked in front of her, and said, "I'm sorry for disappearing for three months."

Elena sighed and stopped, looking at him. "It's fine Seth."

Seth shook his head, "No, its not fine. I left. I left you, my charge. I shouldn't have, but, if you will allow me to be blunt, my pain blinded my senses, and I just..." He realized he was rambling, so he shut up.

"You just what?" She asked him with her arms crossed. Looking at him, wondering what he was about to say.

Seth sighed, and rubbed the back of his neck, "I lost myself for a bit." He muttered.

Elena looked at him then looked down a bit. "Oh."

Seth sighed, and couldn't resist anymore, he appeared right in front of her, and pressed her against him in a hug, kissing the top of her head.

Elena didn't hug him back but she just looked at him.

Seth pulled back, and said, "I still didn't get to say goodbye, is all..." His voice was low, and sad, but his eyes had a slightly lighter hue to his blue.

"I said it was fine!!" She blurted out then covered her mouth quickly once she realized she yelled at him. "I'm so sorry." She said to him through her hand.

Seth blanched a bit, then remembered, "Its fine. Mood Swings hit Vampires hard, I guess." He sighed, placing his hand on both of hers, and lowered them from her mouth, using his other to pull the corners of her mouth into a smile.

Elena giggled some and smiled at him. "Im still sorry about that." She said as she turned away.
